Casa Grande calls out to aspiring artists

An event is coming up for people who would like to try their hand at painting.

Yaymaker Paint Nite is a fun evening where friends can gather to set their inner artist free. Attendees do not have to be artists to enjoy the event, since experts from Yaymaker will be there to give step-by-step instructions. In fact, it is easier and more fun if people have no experience in fine art.

Unlike other events where a specific painting is used as a model to be copied, people attending this event will create an original work. Also, Yaymaker differs from others in that the event is not BYOB. Instead, the organizer is encouraging participants to purchase whatever they would prefer to eat and drink from the host venue. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included in the price. What is included is all the painting materials necessary to finish a painting.

Yaymaker started in 2012, during the Boston blackout, when it was known as Paint Nite. Organizers of a small event in a local bar saw how enjoyable it was when people let down their guard and tried something new. Since that beginning, Yaymaker has hosted over 300,000 events.

The painting event is scheduled for the A Latte Vino bistro on East Rodeo Road, on August 19, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Flyer printing is one way to create instruction sheets for events like this.
