An event has been scheduled to provide young people specialized training.
The event has been organized by the Next Level Livestock Camps, which gives young livestock exhibitors the training they need to show livestock successfully. The camps focus on care, feeding, and showmanship.
The upcoming event is the Next Level Show Sheep Camp, a two-day event that will teach exhibitors about care and feeding, but with a special, intense focus on showmanship. An all-access pass will be given to all participants so they can take part in hands-on training sessions that will impart the knowledge they have to have to progress as livestock exhibitors. The session is rigorous, and covers a wide range of subjects, from how to select a prospect for a show, to how to show the animal and win the competition.
Organizers strongly encourage that any young person who plans to attend the camp also have an Extension Agent, FFA Advisor, 4-H Leader, parent, or guardian extend as well. During the camp, there will be a number of breakout session aimed specifically at attending adults. Also, adults will learn how to reinforce the training provided at the camp once they and the youngsters return home.
The Sheep Camp is scheduled for February 20 and 21, 2021, beginning at 9.00 am the first day, at the Pinal County Fairgrounds in Casa Grande. Print shops can help develop materials to distribute at events like this.Get a Free Quote for Print
