J.A. Jance, whose Books regularly appear on the New York Times Bestseller List, will be visiting Casa Grande soon as part of her tour across Arizona and Washington State.
The well-known writer will be at the Vista Grande Library, where she will read from ‘Downfall’ (her latest book), sign Copies of the work, and visit her fans. In addition, representatives from Tucson's bookstore Mostly Books will have Copies of ‘Downfall’ available for sale at the event.
Jance, a prolific writer, has several series of mysteries underway. Her characters include Seattle P.I. J.P. Beaumont, ex-Los Angeles TV news anchor Ali Reynolds, and Joanna Brady, who is the sheriff of the fictional Cochise County, which is purported to be in Arizona.
‘Downfall’ is the latest installment in the Joanna Brady series of novels. According to a HarperCollins press release, as Brady gets ready to run for reelection, she has to try and solve a brutal case that could be either an accident or murder, and which requires her to ask for help from the federal government as well as other agencies. At the same time, she faces personal tragedy and finds the people closest to her are keeping secrets.
Jance, who was born in South Dakota but raised in Bisbee, will be at the Vista Grande Library in Casa Grande at 10:00 am on September 10.
