The Scotmid store launched in Coatbridge earlier in December and is located on Woodside Street. This site is not too far away from another Scotmid outlet, which is situated within Bank Street. The organisation will be searching for applications for its next Charity of the Year soon. Printing services can be useful when promoting opportunities for the voluntary sector.
Kevin Harper, the manager of local football club Albion Rovers, opened the store and is hopeful that the new branch will prosper in the years to come. Harper told the Daily Record:
“It was great to be a part of the opening ceremony in Coatbridge – like Rovers, Scotmid are right at the heart of the local community and I’m sure the new store will be a huge success.”
Vice-president of Scotmid, Jim Watson, is clear that he wants to help the local community. He is committed to driving improvements in the everyday life of consumers. He has explained that a broad range of items is central to his vision. A free-to-access ATM, a coffee machine and an ample supply of fast food should make the shopping experience convenient.
Andy Simm, a board member at Scotmid, participated in the launch of the Woodside Street enterprise. Simm witnessed a succession of giveaways on the day.
