St Patricks Day Festival to return to Coatbridge

St Patrick’s Day is set to be a celebration to remember in Coatbridge this year, as it has been confirmed that the festival will take place again.

This is one of the most popular of the town’s annual events and is organised each year by the Coatbridge Irish Heritage Committee. That group is promising a spectacular line-up for 2026, including both brand new activities and beloved favourites. Perhaps the most important part of the event in the latter category is the Family Street Party – which is the traditional closer to the festival.

It has been set as the finale again this year and will be taking place on Main Street. Every year, this bash brings thousands of people onto the streets of Coatbridge, making for a packed public celebration.

As the name suggests, the Family Party is suitable for people of any age. It features live music from local bands, with a stage being set up in St Patrick’s Church. There is also a funfair, children’s entertainer, face painting, and traditional Irish dancing.

Flyer printing by shops in Coatbridge can be useful to the organisers of local events, as Flyers are a great way to get the word out to people.

Other planned activities for the festival include Soccer and Gaelic Football Challenge Matches and a quiz centred on the comedy Father Ted.

It runs from March 6 to 14.
