Tom Robinson made a name for himself during the punk explosion of the late 1970s. Fronting the Tom Robinson Band, he scored hits like ‘2-4-6-8 Motorway’. He combined that with political campaigning, lending his support to Amnesty International, Rock Against Racism and various other causes. Now, he will be paying a visit to Coatbridge, and fans can expect to hear his star-studded back catalogue.
The Georgian Hotel will be serving as the venue for his gig, and it is not his first visit to the town. Robinson performed at the same venue three years ago, when his show was a sell-out success. This concert is being put together by the music club 50rpm.

A spokesperson for 50rpm told the Daily Record:
“Tom will be joined on stage by Tom Robinson Band guitarist Adam Phillips, with Scottish singer-songwriter Tom Houston opening the show.”
