The six wheelchairs were originally involved in the Commonwealth Games of 2014. As TCA has now got several electric scooters, the wheelchairs became available for donation. Marketing services in Coatbridge can help local businesses to maximise the positive impact of generous behaviour.
NHS administrators Kelly Meldrum and Moira Agnew told the Daily Record:
“Our health centre in Airdrie will benefit from extra wheelchairs, as the corridors are huge and sometimes more than one is required at the same time. These would help transport patients with mobility problems and can also be used in other localities for emergency situations.”
Graham Good is the business manager for TCA. He said that the NHS was a sensible choice for the donation because the move would enable people with disabilities to enjoy more freedom. He pointed out that this fitted with their aspirations.
Andy McGinty is a local customer of the firm who has used its services for years. He paid a kind tribute to staff at the company, while stressing the importance of the equipment he uses.
Jean Russell is based within the Coatbridge hub. She said that the organisation engages in a range of activities. These include the preparation of hot beverages and the calling of taxis. For her, the work is not just about the provision of scooters.
