The campaign commenced at a business conference that took place in Hamilton during the course of Lanarkshire Business Week.
Some of the project will be conducted via social media, and a special website has been created. Additionally, the organisers could opt to use poster printing in Coatbridge and other places in the county if they want to get ahead offline.
Chris Thompson, the chairperson of the enterprise committee in South Lanarkshire, has told the Cumbernauld News:
“Lanarkshire stands out as an excellent place for business due to its prime location, transport infrastructure, variety and quality of housing and not least our pool of skilled labour.”
A variety of stakeholders may play a part in the evolving campaign. Interested parties such as Jobcentre Plus, Skills Development Scotland, Business Gateway Lanarkshire and Scottish Enterprise are poised to participate in the project. A City Deal that aims to support economic growth has just been set in motion and this could help matters too.
David Fagan, a regeneration specialist who works for the local authority of North Lanarkshire, has highlighted the importance of what the councils should bring to the table. He has stressed that the institutions in question can use partnership working skills to promote progress, while using their position and expertise to access public funds.
