This development is being built on brownfield land that used to be occupied by the Regent Trading Estate. The site is called Oldfield Basin and is located in Salford, just a couple of miles away from Prestwich. When it has been completed, the housing scheme will consist of a total of 86 homes. Of those, 23 will be townhouses with three bedrooms and the remaining 63 will be two and one-bedroom flats.
The contractor that was chosen to deliver it is Eric Wright Construction. It is set to cost £29 million and is part of a wider housing project being undertaken by ECF. This is a partnership between Muse, Legal & General and Homes England.

Alan McBride is the ECF Project Management Director. Speaking to About Manchester, he said:
“Work commencing on the delivery of a third development of highly sustainable Passivhaus homes in Salford marks another significant milestone on ECF’s journey to create a greener, cleaner Salford.”
The other developments created through this project are called Willohaus and Greenhaus.
