An acclaimed artist will be displaying his latest paintings this summer, and he has chosen a Dorchester landmark as the site for it.
Finn Campbell-Notman is a painter who won the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year award three years ago. His upcoming exhibition has been given the title ‘Kinship’ and the paintings feature extensive use of chalk from the Dorset area. They are intended as an examination of the relationship that the artist has with the landscape and his materials.
Instead of a standard art gallery, Campbell-Notman has chosen an unusual site for his exhibition. It will take place at Sculpture by the Lakes, which is just outside Dorchester and is among the area’s top attractions.
The artistic beauty of this sculpture park will be further enhanced by the paintings, making it even more appealing for visitors. When the local council wants to promote tourist attractions, shops in Dorchester that offer brochure printing can help with that. They can supply Brochures that contain photographs and information.
Madeleine Bertorelli is the Sculpture by the Lakes gallery director. Speaking to the Dorset Echo, she said:
“There is a rare sense of deliberation in the exhibition, an invitation to look closely, reflect deeply and consider our relationship with the natural world. Presenting Kinship at Sculpture by the Lakes feels particularly fitting.”
It will run between 27 June and 25 July.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
