A number of changes have been made to Plans for the conversion of a shop in Dorchester, although work on the project is already underway.

The shop in question is situated on Monmouth Road, Dorchester. It has been lying vacant for the past six years, having been put up for sale three years before that.

Eventually, the local council came to the conclusion that it was not going to be brought back into commercial use, and gave its consent to a change of use application to turn it into a home.

The conversion work was subsequently put on hold due to Covid-19 restrictions, before finally getting started. It is still ongoing, but the owner of the site has made some small alterations to its application.

The changes in question mostly concern the main building, but there have apparently also been some revisions to the application when it comes to a flat. This flat will be located on the first floor of the building.
