Charity concert to be held in Macclesfield

A concert for The Christie charity is set to take place in Macclesfield next month.

The Saint Michaels and All Angels Church in Macclesfield will host the charity concert and proceeds are going to back The Christie charity’s fundraising drive. The hope the organisation can build a centre in Macclesfield to reduce the length of patient journeys and to ensure they can receive treatment a bit closer to their homes.

Students from Fallibroome Academy will be performing at the event and headteacher, Francis Power, told the Knutsford Guardian:

“Our students are practising hard to be pitch perfect on the night, and we hope parents, families and the wider community will come together to support this vitally important cause.”

Mark Radcliffe, a BBC broadcaster, will be hosting the concert. He suffered from cancer near his tongue and has received treatment in The Christie. Earlier this year, he obtained the welcome news that his illness had entered remission. He is appreciative of the high quality of the care that he was given inside the hub of international excellence.

Claire Ferguson is a senior manager for The Christie charity. She focuses her attention on community fundraising. She believes that the concert is going to be ideal for families. Poster printing can be a great way to drum up support for events such as this.

The charity concert will take place on December 17th and tickets are already on sale to the public.
