Rapper announced as headliner for festival in Leicester

Leicester is set to play host to a music festival in the summer, and a top UK rapper has now been confirmed as one of its headliners.

Aitch is a performer who divides his time between creating rap music and featuring on television. He will be known to many people through his appearance on the reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’, and now he is scheduled to play as a main stage headliner at the upcoming Leicester Abbey Park Music Festival. This will take place later in the year and the venue for it will be the park of that name.

The event is one of a number of festivals throughout the country that come under the Park Series heading. Aitch told the Leicester Mercury that the tickets for his performance had been an almost instant sell-out.

Music festivals in Leicester usually prove popular with the public, but they still need to be promoted. For that reason, the organisers sometimes use local shops that offer poster printing.

Aitch has enjoyed several top 10 chart hits during his career to date, so landing him is a coup for this festival. He urged all of his fans throughout the Midlands to buy tickets for it.

Another act that will perform at the event is iconic eighties band Madness. It will be held on 12 and 13 June.
