A former pub in Leicester that closed its doors last year could be set for a return if new Plans for it are approved by Leicester City Council.
The Counting House is situated in Almond Road, between the stadiums for Leicester City FC and the Leicester Tigers. This made it popular with fans of sports, and it was a local fixture for almost two decades. It suddenly closed down a year ago, and the building has stayed empty ever since. Now, there are Plans to turn it into a gastropub specialising in Indian food.
Soho Tavern has acquired the building, which is Grade II listed. This company is based in Birmingham and owns a chain of gastropubs throughout the country. It has submitted an application to the council.
If it succeeds in getting the green light, the revived venue will continue to cater to fans of rugby and football. The Plans would see a single-storey extension added to the building that would be made out of glass.
Promotional Products from Leicester Print shops can help to advertise new pubs and restaurants when they first open. They can be produced cheaply with an appropriate theme and handed out to people.
These gastropub Plans have been designed by Tibbatts Abel and would see outside seats added and a new bar area.
A date for the decision has not been revealed.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
