Leicester City Council has now revealed what its Plans for the festive season are, and an outdoor Christmas market is set to be the centrepiece of them.
This market will be situated on Gallowtree Gate and it will be open for the whole of the Christmas period. There will be a range of stalls set up that provide festive-themed food, hot drinks and other items to buy. It will mark the first time ever that Leicester has featured an outdoor market of this kind as part of its Christmas celebrations.
It is not the only thing that the council has planned though. There will also be a number of Christmas trees installed throughout the city centre. The main one will be alongside the clock tower, but there will be others added at Town Hall Square. This will be the venue for a nativity scene too.
Several celebrities have been lined up to help with the switch-on of the festive lights, which marks the start of Christmas in Leicester. They include Divina De Campo, from the hit television show Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
This seems sure to be a big hit with residents of Leicester. The council has the option of turning to graphic design outlets in the city if it wants help in creating promotional Posters for it though.
