Leicester show confirmed for Tom Jones

One of UK pop music’s biggest and most enduring names will be coming to Leicester for a concert later this year, with Sir Tom Jones having confirmed a show in the city.

The celebrated Welsh singer is set to perform at the home ground of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Uptonsteel County Ground. He is likely to play songs from the successful run of albums that he has released in recent years, which includes ‘Praise and Blame’, ‘Spirit in the Room’, ‘Long Lost Suitcase’ and ‘Surrounded by Time’. However, fans can also expect to hear top tunes from his past like ‘It’s Not Unusual’ during the show.

Having launched his career back in the mid-1960s, Jones has gone on to win numerous awards in the subsequent decades, such as the Hitmaker Award given by the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, a Music Industry Trusts Award and many BRIT Awards.

He still retains millions of fans domestically and worldwide, and the show could well be a sell-out. Flyer printing outlets in Leicester can help the promoters of upcoming shows like this one when it comes to advertising events.

Grandslam Live Ltd CEO Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE told the Leicester Mercury that:

“We are delighted to confirm that we will be bringing Sir Tom Jones to Leicester County Cricket Club this summer.”

The show will take place on 15th July.
