Leicester looks set to get a couple of brand new tower blocks that will contain hundreds of flats, after the local council chose to approve the Plans for this housing.
These blocks will be constructed on a site that is currently occupied by a branch of Matalan. That store shut down at the beginning of last year and the building has been lying empty ever since.
It is situated at the corner of Vaughan Way and Church Gate in Leicester, but will now be knocked down to make room for the blocks of flats.
Once these have been completed, they will provide a total of over 200 flats for local people. Brochure printing from shops in Leicester is sometimes used by housing developers in the area, to help them show off newly built homes.
The developer that put forward these proposals is The Hornbeam Partnership. In its application to Leicester City Council, it stated that the project would help to revive a part of the city that is failing economically at the moment.
These plans reveal that the finished blocks will be 14 storeys tall. They also indicate that the flats within them will be a mix of three, two and one-bedroom accommodation.
Other amenities will include a private exterior space and landscaped gardens. A walkway for pedestrians between the two blocks will also be incorporated.Get a Free Quote for Plans
