A live stage show that is based on a popular Hollywood movie will be coming to Leicester next year, and the lead role will be played by a reality TV star.
Legally Blonde is an adaptation of the movie with the same name, which stars Reese Witherspoon. It tells the story of Elle Woods, who goes from being a ditsy ‘It Girl’ to a law student at Harvard, while also pursuing the love of her life. The movie has become a cult classic since its original release, and this stage version has proven equally popular.
Now, it is heading to Leicester, and the starring role will be played by Amber Davies. She is a former winner of the reality show Love Island and has also participated in Strictly Come Dancing. She is now forging a new career in musical theatre.
Among her past credits are Back to the Future: The Musical, Bring It On, Pretty Woman and The Great Gatsby. She has performed in shows in the West End of London, so will bring plenty of experience to her latest part.
