Event in Leicester to entertain families
A special event will be taking place in Leicester later this summer, and it is set to provide live entertainment that will be suitable for people of every age.
This event has been given the name ‘Curve on the Square’ and it will see the city play host to a variety of world class performers. They will include everything from live bands and dancers to musical theatre performers. There will also be creative workshops that cover a range of different subjects and that will give families the chance to actually get involved.
The venue for the event will be Orton Square, which is named after the Leicester-born playwright Joe Orton. This is situated within the cultural quarter, right in the heart of Leicester.
In addition to activities that are targeted at families with young children, there will also be ones for older people. These will include sing-a-longs that are specially designed for those suffering from dementia.
The sponsor for the event is De Montfort University and the various activities will be available for no cost. Promotional pens created by Leicester print shops are one of the ways in which organisers of local events like this one can spread the word about them.
Alongside all of the fun and games, ‘Curve on the Square’ will also offer refreshments. There will be an al fresco bar.
It will take place on Saturday, 9 August.
