According to the Leicester Mercury, businesses can still sign up to take part in the Business Awards 2014, which is currently set to be the biggest awards event ever seen in Leicestershire, but the deadline is fast approaching.
Last year, the event took place in March and it saw around 600 people attend. This year’s ceremony will be taking place at the Maher Centre on the April 3, and it is hoped that the number of attendees will have increased to around 750 people.
One company that has already entered 2014’s event is The Willoughby Book Club based near Lutterworth. The company was set up in 2012 by Adam and Chloe Pollard, husband and wife, and they are entering their set-up for the New Business of the Year category.
According to Adam, their success story is a good one to tell. Just four months after launching, the business had grown and Adam was able to quit his current job. He says that the Leicester Mercury Business Awards are always good to apply for, no matter how small the business. He believes it creates good PR, as well as good practice in explaining a business.
The awards ceremony has 12 categories, including ‘International Trade’ and ‘Company of the Year’. Events like this can provide good opportunities for businesses to show what they are all about, as well as take the opportunity to make use of business card printing in Leicester to network with like-minded business professionals.
The awards are for any size of business, and there is still time to sign up before the deadline of January 31.
