It is located within Space City Leicester, the city’s cluster for companies focused on space research and development. The hub for businesses that currently consists of Dock and Dock 2 will be expanded to incorporate a further two buildings for offices, plus a terrace area that will be made up of high-grade spaces for manufacturing.
Brackley Property Developments, a company headquartered within the city, will deliver it. The firm is partnering with Leicester City Council, with the finished office spaces set to measure a total of 4,000 sqm and offer room for 45 businesses.
There are already other useful services in the city to support firms that move into these offices, like Leicester shops that provide Corporate Gifts to help them woo new clients.
The project will cost £16.5 million and Sir Peter Soulsby, the Mayor, told the council website that Space City Leicester had become a UK-wide focal point for the space industry, adding:
“We’re proud to build on that momentum by further expanding our innovative Dock workspace hub with three new, low carbon buildings which will help meet demand from businesses keen to locate here from the UK and overseas.”
The expansion will be completed by spring 2024.Get a Free Quote for Corporate Gifts
