Rwandan Orphans Lives Changed by Brampton Sisters

The lives of many children in Rwanda are being changed by two sisters who reside in Brampton. Public awareness needs to be raised in any successful charity fundraising effort. A Print company in Brampton made the necessary Posters and Flyers to inform the public what this organization stands for and outline its goals.

The two women founded a not-for-profit organization, calling it Shelter Them. Shelter Them educates and feed dozens of orphaned children who are from the capital of Rwanda, Kigali. Josephine Murphy and Jocelyne Alexander are the founders of this generous organization. They know first-hand, what hunger and poverty are all about. They lived with seven other siblings in a home that had only one room, in Rwanda.

Alexander said:

“When we left Rwanda in 1997, we really didn’t see the hopeless lives of many children. We grew up in poverty ourselves so we simply didn’t know better, but after being in Canada for over eight years, we got used to another life which we adapted very quickly.
"The first thing we noticed when we returned was the number of kids on the streets either working or begging for food. We saw poverty like we never seen it before…It opened our eyes and we realized that we were blessed beyond our means.”

It is hoped that Shelter Them will meets its goal of raising $100,000 in 2011. The donations will help build much needed homes for the orphaned children in Rwanda. Please consider giving to this worthwhile cause.
