Brampton volunteers to run for hope

The Run4Hope event will take place in Brampton this April, inviting local runners to tackle a challenge for charity.

Participants can choose to run or walk, as well as between a five or ten kilometre distance. The route will take runners around Professor’s Lake in the heart of Brampton. The course will include two water stations, washrooms and changing stations. Water and refreshments will be provided at the finish line. The run is organized by the Brampton Benders Running Club.

All runners and walkers will receive a race kit including a bib, timing chip and athletic T-shirt. The three fastest male and female finishers for each distance will receive medals and prizes, and everyone who finishes the course will receive a finisher’s medal. There will also be a reward for the best youth team participating.

The run will also be raising money for Knights Table, which aims to address hunger in Peel Region. Proceeds from registration fees and sponsors will go towards the cause. Charitable runs and other events often recognize sponsors by making use of banner printing, conducting speeches and more. Volunteers will assist with everything from first aid to tear-down, as well as providing photography and a cheering crew.

The 2026 edition of Run4Hope will take place on the morning of April 19 at the Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre and surrounding area.
