The B-Jazzed organization will be bringing its signature event, the World of Jazz Festival, back to Brampton for a weekend-long celebration of the genre.
The festival will feature over 100 musicians performing, ranging from local students to practiced professionals. There will be a special showcase for Canadian women in jazz headlined by Juno-nominated musicians Heather Bambrick, Jocelyn Gould, and Tara Davidson. Glen Marais and the Mojo Train, a four-piece group, will bring their signature brand of blues rock to the festival.
Other performing groups include the Carn Davidson 9, Jesse Ryan & The Kaiso Street Legacy Ensemble, and Frank Adriano Quartet. The festival will feature student and amateur bands including the L&M Student Jam Bands and World of Jazz Volunteer All-Star Band. Music festivals like this often use flyer printing and local radio advertising to help reach local music lovers.
World of Jazz takes place at a number of venues across Brampton. Friday night will feature free concerts at local restaurants including Gallery 35, Mt. Vesuvio’s and Segovia Coffee Co. Saturday will be an eight-hour outdoor festival with two stages of music, a family fun zone, and food vendors, followed by Joe’s Jazz Jam at Keenan’s Irish Pub. The festival will conclude with the Gala Concert at The Rose Brampton on Sunday night.
The 2026 edition of the World of Jazz Festival will run from September 11 to 13 at various locations in downtown Brampton.
