The WBC Francophone Title will be on the line this May in Fredericton, as Brandon “L-Jack” Brewer and Lancelot de la Chapelle square off in the boxing ring.
The fight is a rematch from October 2023, a fight that also took place in Fredericton and saw Frenchman de la Chapelle victorious via ninth-round technical knockout (TKO). Like the first fight, the rematch will be contested over 10 rounds under professional boxing rules. New Brunswick native Brewer, ranked as one of the best super middleweights in Canada with a 27-3-2 pro record, will be looking to get revenge on the Frenchman. The fight card will feature a number of professional and amateur boxing fights on the undercard, including numerous locally based fighters from Brewer’s The LAB training centre.
The show will be held under the World Class Boxing banner with the event name “Reloaded.” The fight card is held in association with the Chalmers Foundation, which helps to benefit the Chalmers Emergency Department. Proceeds from the fight’s 50/50 draw will go towards the Foundation. Boxing events like this are known to use poster printing, press conferences, and other promotional tools to help build excitement for the fight. The event offers VIP tables and other exclusive tickets to get fans close to the action.
“Reloaded”, headlined by the Brewer vs. de la Chapelle rematch, will take place on May 4 at the Fredericton Coliseum.
