Fredericton craft beer fest to return

One of the province’s biggest gathering of brewers, the Fredericton Craft Beer Festival, will be back this March, with a weekend full of exploring new tastes.

This year’s edition will feature a selection of exhibitors from Atlantic Canada’s craft beer industry, with a variety of flavours represented. Participating breweries include Boxing Rock Brewing Company, Les Brasseurs du Petit-Sault and Red Rover Craft Cider. Visitors can sample brews with tasting glasses and sit, sip and socialize.

The festival will also be held in conjunction with the YFC Burger Battle, a month-long event celebrating local food providers and the classic hamburger. Over 30 restaurants will participate, from 540 North Picaroons Roundhouse to St. James’ Gate Freddy. Diners can sample different burgers and vote online on who deserves to win the Battle. Craft Beer Festival Patrons are also encouraged to try out the Burger Battle before or after their visit.

The Craft Beer Festival is a 19+ event, with free taxi chits for ANBL Safe Ride to ensure everyone can get home safe. Designated Driver tickets are also available for a small fee. Craft breweries use events like this alongside methods like quirky graphic design and social media to help stand out from the major brands.

The 2026 Fredericton Craft Beer Festival will take place on March 6 and 7 at the Fredericton Convention Centre. YFC Burger Battle runs from February 28 to March 21.
