Pop-culture convention to return to Fredericton

Atlantic Entertainment Expo will be back in Fredericton this April, bringing together fans of games, technology and “nerdy” media.

The event will feature a number of special guests from the world of entertainment, including renowned voice actor John Eric Bentley, as well as local hobby associations like the Maritime LEGO Users Group. Guests at the convention will take part in interviews, panel discussions, and autograph signings. Visitors can participate in workshops to pick up a new hobby or test their gaming skills in electronic and tabletop tournaments. There will also be special interactive “quests” for younger visitors to travel the show flow, take part in challenges, and win prizes.

Many attendees like to dress in the costumes, or cosplay, of their favourite characters from film, television and games. Local musical talent will perform on the acoustic stage throughout the two-day convention. There will also be a show floor of dealers and artists offering collectible goods such as toys, trading cards, and original artwork.

Vendors at conventions like this often offer special sales or Promotional Products specifically for the event. The Atlantic Entertainment Expo originated in Charlottetown before launching a second annual event in Fredericton, and will further expand to St. John this summer.

The Atlantic Entertainment Expo’s 2025 Fredericton event will take place on April 12 and 13 at the Fredericton Convention Centre.
