The Harvest Music Festival will be coming to Fredericton this September, with a line-up including some of the biggest names in alternative music from the past three decades.
The festival will feature dozens of bands and artists performing across the weekend. Headliners include critically acclaimed indie-folk artist Jason Isbell with his group The 400 Units, veteran indie-rock act Spoon, Canadian singer-songwriter Feist. Toronto-based alternative legends Broken Social Scene, and 90s hitmakers Big Sugar. There will also be a number of acts in diverse genres, including iconic blues rock singer Colin James with The Little Big Band, hard-rock group July Talk, and well-travelled funk group The Wooten Brothers.
There will also be special musical events hosted throughout the festival, including Kylie Fox performing Joni Mitchell’s “Court & Spark” album to celebrate its 50th anniversary, an “East Coast Emo Night”, and more. In between concerts attendees can enjoy local food and drink vendors and buskers, while families can enjoy the KidsFest portion of the festival. Large music festivals like this are a popular way to see well-known acts as well as be exposed to new music, and are often promoted through methods such as poster printing and local radio give-aways.
The 2024 Harvest Music Festival will take place from September 10 to 15 across three city blocks in downtown Fredericton.
