The YFC Burger Battle event will return to Fredericton this March, challenging local restaurants and pubs to put their burgers to the test.
The three-week event will see restaurants introduce new burgers to their Menus, ranging from the classic ground beef to other meats or vegetarian options as well as exotic toppings. Participating eateries include 540 Kitchen & Bar, Isaac’s Way Restaurant, and Sam Snead’s Oak Grill and Tavern, as well as local chain restaurants and hotels. Burger lovers are invited to try as many of the creations as they can and vote for their favourite, with a Burger Battle winner crowned at the end of the period. Many past entries have become regular fixtures on the restaurants’ menus.
This year features over 30 different burgers to try, showing the continual growth of the Burger Battle event. In addition to supporting local businesses, proceeds from past events have also gone to charities like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Last year, the Burger Battle organizers also introduced a collaboration beer with local microbreweries, the Want Fries with That Hazy IPA. Events like this can help bring awareness to local restaurants, who often use flyer printing and menu give-aways to help win over repeat customers.
The 2025 YFC Burger Battle will take place at participating locations throughout Fredericton from March 1 to 22.
