Winnipeg zoo to get Halloween makeover

Winnipeg is about to get a little bit spookier thanks to an event that will be taking over Assiniboine Park Zoo.

The zoo is set to be invaded by a traveling caravan of warlocks, witches and wizards, and they will serve as the hosts for “Boo at the Zoo”. While it will be a family friendly celebration, the organizers have warned parents that some of the exhibits may be a bit too scary for the youngest guests.

As well as browsing through the Halloween-themed displays, the visitors to the zoo will be invited to enjoy a selection special treats, such as cotton candy, candy apples and other goodies. Rides will be on offer at the Mystical Midway, and Merlin’s Den, the Fairy Graveyard, Spider’s Den, Pumpkin Patch, Devil’s Crossroads and other attractions will all be set up for the occasion. The presenting sponsor for the activity is Red River Co-Op.

A themed activity like this can attract new visitors to a location, and a printing services company can lend a hand by preparing special themed decor to use in the various displays. It will also be able to prepare special Promotional Products to offer for sale to the guests.

This Halloween makeover for Assiniboine Park Zoo will be open from October 8th to October 31st. Its website will have the most current information about the festivities.
