Winnipeg market brings holiday cheer

The Winnipeg Christmas Market will be giving local crafters, makers and artisans an opportunity to connect with the public later this year.

The festive market will be bringing a large number of vendors together, all under one roof. The BRC Convention Centre is set to host the activity, and it will open in the morning on each of its four days.

The market will be focused on items made in Canada, and it has been held each year since 1979. Along with local talent, it attracts sellers from Newfoundland to British Columbia, as well as the North, and the members of the public who drop by can meet them in person. At least 125 vendors will be setting up shop, and workshops have also been scheduled. Applications to become a vendor are currently being accepted on the market’s website, with categories being artisans, general merchandise, food and services.

A market or other in-person shopping party can be a fun way for members of the public to complete their holiday shopping. Decor for such an activity can be prepared by a banner printing company, which will have both single use and reusable styles available.

The Winnipeg Christmas Market will be kicking off the city’s winter holiday season from November 28th until December 1st. The RBC Convention Centre is located at 375 York Avenue.
