There is a wide variety of ecosystems to be found in Manitoba, and the attendees in an upcoming Winnipeg workshop will discover this diversity.
Marilyn Latta will be sharing her love of native wild plants during the "What's That Wildflower?” session, and it will take place at the Earl Grey Community Centre in Winnipeg. Tickets to attend start at $10.00 each, and it set to be held in person.
The participants will find out how the province is home to everything from cacti to orchids, seaside species and even carnivorous plants, and Latta will show how there is one for each letter of the alphabet. Everyone will find out how, when and where to look for them, and to add a fun twist, the attendees will each be able to put their knowledge to the test with an A-Z presentation. It will also be a time for the ticket holders to meet other locals who care about nature. The activity will run for one and half hours, and it has been organized by Nature Manitoba.
Identifying native plants may be a useful skill for those with an interest in the environment. Simple field guides, customized Journals and promotional Pens for events like this one can be prepared for an event by a local printer.
