Once each year, Winnipeg celebrates French Canadian culture with the Festival du Voyageur, and everyone is invited to visit the city for these 10 days of frosty fun next month.
This celebration of the Voyageurs, Acadians, Quebecois and other French Canadians will be the largest function of its type held in western Canada in 2025. In previous years, it has attracted over 70,000 visitors to the city, and there will be everything from live music to food on offer.
The plans for the festival are filled with music and other cultural performances, and dance and other visual arts will also be included. There will be lots of outdoor family friendly fun, and everyone can admire the snow sculptures and other displays. Many of the outdoor tented areas will be accessible to those who require a mobility device. Kids will be able to make crafts, visit the play areas, go for a sleigh ride and check out all the other activities.
