Winnipeg workshop to share secrets of good governance

The day is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am, and those who take a seat will walk away with a better understanding of their role as a board member and the liabilities that can be attached to this task. The difference between the role of an individual board member and the board as a whole, accountability, and risk management will also be a component of the workshop.

In addition to the training, the participants will develop a checklist for their own organization that can help to ensure they have performed their due diligence. Stationery printers can supply Copies of any handouts utilized during this type of function.

The United Way of Winnipeg will be offering this educational opportunity for governing boards on September 20. It will be offered at 580 Main Street, and a light lunch and snacks will be served.
