While it may not seem like “grape country”, the area surrounding Winnipeg is home to a winery, and this venue is set to welcome a tour that takes place once each year.
Shrugging Doctor Beverage Company was founded in 2017, and it grows its own grapes. As it is a working operation, it can only accommodate visitors on a special tour day, and this has been scheduled for early September.
The group of registrants for the activity will be transported to the vineyard and winery by bus, and they will meet up at a venue located on St. James Street. Upon arrival, the attendees will be led on a guided tour, and there may be an opportunity to taste some of the grapes. Samples of wine will be provided, and a BBQ ,lunch is included as well. There will be time for questions, and there is a “drive yourself” option for anyone who would prefer to travel on their own.
Wine lovers may appreciate the opportunity to learn more about a province’s wine industry and the chance to taste test is also often welcome. Tasting glasses and other Drinkware can be printed with a specific graphic design for a business or other establishment to use during special events.
Manitoba’s only vineyard operation will open its gates for this behind the scenes visit on September 8th. The departure point for the bus trip to the venue will be located at 483 Berry Street.
