Winnipeg to wish Canada happy birthday
Winnipeg residents will be invited to wish their country a happy birthday this July, and a Juno Award-winning entertainer is on the line-up to provide entertainment for the occasion.
The city will be setting up a celebration at Assiniboine Downs, and this family friendly event will welcome one and all. This will be the second year that the occasion has been hosted at the venue, and the fun will kick off in the early afternoon and run until well after the stars come out.
The function will offer an opportunity to support more than 100 local artisans, as well as Winnipeg’s community of mobile eateries, and a beer garden will offer respite from the summer heat. There will be an area especially for kids, and live music, including a performance by Elliot Brood, will be on the agenda.
Once the sun goes down, the fireworks will be going up into the sky for a night-time display . This will be put together by CanFire Pyrotechnics.
Tickets for the celebration are $10.00, and parking in the set area is $5.00 per vehicle. Promotional and decorative signage for an activity such as this can be prepared by area poster printing companies.
