Winnipeg to welcome return of craft festival

Winnipeg is home to some very talented crafters, and an upcoming festival will put the spotlight on those who work with fibres and textiles.

The Manitoba Fibre Festival will be a celebration of the world of textiles, and it will showcase the works of spinners, weavers, needleworkers and other artisans. It will have lots on offer for those who have experience, as well as anyone who is new to the field, and the Red River Exhibition Place has been chosen to serve as the venue for the occasion.

The function will include examples on handmade textiles and other fibre-based products, and everyone can sit in on a class or live demonstration. The attendees can watch sheep get a haircut in the shearing demo, and some friendly alpacas will also be on site. Supplies and other materials will be on offer in the pop-up vendor area, and admission to the two-day celebration is free of charge.

Themed festivals offer the public an opportunity to learn and have fun, and a poster printing company may prove to be helpful in promoting the occasion throughout a community. It can work with a variety of budgets, offering helpful tips and advice along the way.

The 2022 Manitoba Fibre Festival will welcome one and all on September 9th and 10th. It is open to all ages.
