Winnipeg to show its love of local foods
Winnipeg residents will soon have an opportunity to go local and support Manitoba food producers.
A chef will be using Manitoba-sourced ingredients to prepare a variety of dishes for the crowd to sample. Along with the food, there will be craft beers and wine available for purchase. Those who attend the event will also be able to browse through the pop-up store that will be set up for the occasion. It will be selling a wide range of locally made products.
In addition to the food and shopping, there will be an opportunity to enter prize drawings. All ticketholders will receive a chance to win a meal for six, prepared by a chef in the privacy of their own home. For each purchase someone makes in the shop, they will have their name entered in a draw to win a gift basket filled with Manitoba-made products.
