A Winnipeg activity will soon be introducing the public to the range of wildflowers that call the area home, and it will offer a warm welcome to all who take part.
The Earl Grey Community Centre will serve as the location for an in-person presentation that will explore the variety of floral habitats that can be found around the city. The goal is for everyone to walk away with a grounding in the basics of plant identification, and all are welcome.
During the function, the facilitator Marilyn Latta will discuss how the area is home to everything from orchids to cacti, and she will also introduce the group to some Books that can help them to enjoy local nature. The function will wrap up with a floral alphabet
of Manitoba wildflowers, and the session has been organized by Nature Manitoba.
Learning about the natural world can be a lot of fun, and workshops offer an opportunity to do so. A brochure printing company can prepare handouts as well as Journals to distribute at activities like this, along with promotional Pens so the participants can make any notes they wish.
The What's That Wildflower? Session will introduce citizen naturalists to the floral bounty all around them starting at 7:30pm on May 1st. Both Nature Manitoba members and the general public may take part.
