Workplace injuries can happen to anyone, and they can sometimes affect a person's mental health, which is why SAFE Work Manitoba has put together a Winnipeg symposium that will directly address this issue.
This day of training is intended for those workplace stakeholders that are involved with their company's health and safety programming. The course content has been created through the cooperative efforts of the Canadian Mental Health Association, the MFL Occupational Health Centre and SAFE Work Manitoba, and there is no registration fee being charged.
The learners in the session will learn how to spot possible mental health concerns in their workplace and also how to recognize these hazards before they impact any of the staff. They will also find out how they can include a mental health component in their business’s overall health and safety programming. The day is scheduled to start at 8:30 am, and it will conclude at 4:30 pm.
This daylong course is just one of several that are offered by SAFE Work Manitoba, and the other classes cover industries such as trucking and construction. Safety Posters can be created by a poster printing company, and these can be displayed in the workplace and used to reinforce the knowledge gained during a training opportunity such as this.
April 17 has been set as the date for this day of learning, and it will take place on the 16th floor of 363 Broadway. More details about this and the other courses that are on offer can be found on the event’s online listing.
