Winnipeg set to ring in the New Year
Winnipeg residents are invited to join their friends, family and neighbors in greeting 2017 with a gala event.
The RBC Convention Centre will be the site of the festivities, which will begin at 6:00 pm with a stroll through the park, hot drink in hand. There will also be hors d’oeuvres served and live entertainment provided by the Folkorama Talent Bolero Dance Theatre. Along with this, guests can enjoy dancing to music by Sensational Sound, bid on the silent auction items, and enter the drawing for a trip to Churchill on VIA Rail.
The evening’s five-course dinner will include soup and a salad, followed by green apple sorbet to cleanse the palate. After that, there will be a fillet of beef dish, and dessert. Once the meal is finished, there will be time for dancing to the sounds of the Ron Paley 21 Piece Band, champagne, and more.
