There are several species of ticks that can be found in and around Winnipeg, and they will all be discussed during the “Ticks” session planned for the Earl Grey Community Centre. Kateryn Rochon will be the instructor, and she will be offering tips and advice to attendees. The activity has been scheduled for the evening hours.
During the presentation, the different species of ticks will be discussed, including their life cycle and how to avoid being bitten. Rochon will review the pathogens that can be spread by these members of the arachnid family and offer tips for their removal and what else to do if a person is bitten. Questions from the audience will be welcome. Tickets for the session start at $10.00.
There is lots of outdoor fun to be had during the summer months, and workshops like this can help those who attend to do so safely. Promotional Products for distribution during an activity can be prepared by a local printing services company.
