Winnipeg to host charity holiday concert

A well-known Canadian actor and philanthropist will soon be joining with other entertainers in a Winnipeg event that will provide support to the city’s people in need.

Tom Jackson will be combining his talents with those of Tom McKillop, Shannon Gaye, Kristian Alexandrov and Beverly Mahood in a concert to benefit Winnipeg Harvest. To maximize the impact of the day, those who come are asked to ‘bring in a tin for the bin’, as these will be collected and donated.

In his description of the event, Jackson explained that it will be both a celebration of the holiday season and also of the country’s 150th year. He went on to say it will involve a variety of media, and will include plenty of humour.

The Winnipeg concert in just one stop on a cross country tour that will raise money for an assortment of not-for-profit groups. Reusable pop-up Banners that can be moved from place to place can be prepared by a printer for this type of touring event.

This entertainment event is scheduled to make its Winnipeg stop on Thursday, December 7, and it will begin at 7:00 pm.
