A food-filled fundraiser will soon be back for another Winnipeg summer, and this annual gathering will include plenty of fun in the sun.
The local Rotary Club’s signature summer fundraiser, which has been dubbed ‘Ribfest’, will showcase the culinary talents of a selection of ‘ribbers’ who will be serving up plenty of barbecue fare. The money raised through this initiative will benefit local youth, and the whole family is welcome to attend.
Three barbecue chefs will be preparing a variety of BBQ dishes, including chicken, pulled pork, and of course, spareribs. These will be accompanied by beans, coleslaw and freshly baked corn bread, mini donuts and ice cold lemonade will round out the menu.
Along with the food, this celebration will give area performers an opportunity to wow the crowd. Anyone who would like a cold beer can purchase one in the beer gardens, and children can enjoy the kid’s area. Everyone can take part in the Toonie Toss, and this will help to raise money for area youth projects. Fun signage can help to an event to run smoothly, and a printing services company can supply a fundraiser like this with options.
This year’s Winnipeg Rotary Ribfest will run from August 21st until August 23rd. The CN Stage and Field at the Forks will be the venue for this food-filled festival.
