Winnipeg event to help bring homeless cats in from the cold

A not-for-profit group is hosting its annual winter craft show fundraiser in Winnipeg.

The winter months can be difficult for Winnipeg’s homeless felines, and Craig Street Cats is working to bring them in from the cold. Members of the public who would like to support its efforts while browsing through a wide selection of gift ideas may wish to save the date for the fundraiser.

The event, which is to be held in the Viscount Gort Hotel, will include crafts, works of art, baked goods and many other unique items. The organizers noted that some of the city’s finest artisans and crafters have already signed on to participate.

As well as vendor tables and other offerings, attendees at the sale can view items that are on the block in the silent auction, and can bid on any that catch their eye. Local craftspeople who would like to get involved are welcome to submit an application, and there are also many volunteer opportunities on offer.

Promoting an event like this can be an important part of helping it to achieve success. Flyers can be an effective and inexpensive option for this, and they can be obtained from an area flyer printing shop.

Admission to the Craig Street Cats annual winter craft show is either a donation of one can of cat food or $1. It has been scheduled for December 1st.
