Fans of eating ribs in Winnipeg may want to loosen their belts before they head to a local event that will be filled with food, friends and lots of fun.
The city’s annual Rib Fest is on its way for another year, and it will be an activity that welcomes one and all. While the ribs will be the main draw for many, there will be other barbecue fare and food options on offer as well from local food trucks, and the fun will run for three days.
Located at Assiniboine Downs, admission to the festivities will be $5.00 at the gate. The activity is part of a series of similar Rib Fest events taking place in cities in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories, and the list of locations may expand in the coming months.
Along with the food, the plans for the event include entertainment and a rib cook off. There will be an area set up for the kids, and a variety of merchandise printed with the function’s Logo Design and other Promotional Products will be available for purchase.
This celebration of the joys of freshly cooked barbecue ribs will be running in Winnipeg from Friday, May 31st to Sunday, June 2nd. Everyone is encouraged to drop by and check it out for themselves.
