Winnipeg will be hosting the March for Mental Health in the city in May to raise awareness about mental health.
The event will work to raise awareness and lower the stigma surrounding mental illness, and the organizers are hoping there will be plenty of community support. It will include several activities, and these will kick off with the awareness raising march. The route is approximately 2km long, and the fee to register for this part of the afternoon starts at $30 for adults.
Once they have completed the walk, participants will be invited to enjoy the learning sessions and entertainment for kids. There will also be a variety of mental health service providers and other community resources with displays set up, and here, attendees can pick up information and an assortment of awareness raising Promotional Products.
The organizers of the function explained that the money raised through registration fees and other fundraising efforts will be used to help meet the costs of hosting the event. Any remaining funds will be used to support mental health programming for Manitoba kids.
The event is hosted by Inspire, a not-for-profit organization and it is the largest in its calendar. The March for Mental Health will be held on 2nd May at St. Vital Park. Registration for the walk takes place from 2pm.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
