New bistro set to open at Winnipeg Museum

Starting at the end of September, Winnipeg will be the home of a new casual bistro-style restaurant.

The establishment, named ‘ERA Bistro’, will be the restaurant to provide food to staff and guests at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, having won the contract to do so last year.

The eatery will be run by Inn at the Forks, and will showcase food prepared by executive chef Barry Saunders. The dishes offered will feature nutritional, locally sourced items, as well certified fair trade food that has been grown and harvested using sustainable methods. Their meals will be made in Californian and Canadian styles ranging in price from $31-$50.

According to a press release, the facility was designed by Number 10 Architectural Group and reflects the overall feel of the museum with its spectacular galleries. The layout is intended to make it a gathering spot for museum visitors, staff and community members alike.

Lunch and dinner will both be available, and the restaurant will be open from Tuesday to Sunday during regular museum hours. Reservations will be accepted, but they are not required.

An establishment like this can provide a chance for people to take a break and have a meal without having to leave the building, which can be especially convenient for the visitors. Since it’s a new bistro, it may need a variety of items such as printed Menus, Business Cards and other paper goods. A printing company will be able to provide these.
