Seedy Saturday is taking place at the Historic Stewart Farm in Burnaby this April.
Guests will have the opportunity to purchase rare heirloom vegetables, herbs, and flower seeds which were grown in the farm's heritage gardens. Master gardeners and various experts will be on hand to provide gardening tips to those who need advice. People will also have the opportunity to tour the 1894 farmhouse – which features guides in period costumes – sample freshly baked items, and take a walk through the heritage flower and vegetable gardens. There are also set to be a variety of crafts and other activities taking place to keep the children busy.
This event should get people thinking about their gardens and about how to get them in shape for the new season. They may also get inspiration from the heritage gardens, and from following the advice of the experts who will be on hand.
