Christmas shopping can get underway this weekend, when the Christmas Craft Fair take places at the South Surrey Recreation Center.
Those who wish to sell their holiday related merchandise such as Christmas cards, music, and homemade crafts can rent a table for $20. They are urged not to delay, as spaces have been taken up very quickly in previous years.
From a customer’s point of view, meanwhile, those looking for the perfect gift for a friend or family member will be sure to find something for at least one person on their list. It will also be a good opportunity for those who are beginning their own business to introduce themselves to the community.
Craft fairs like this tend to provide a win-win situation because the crafters and artists will find a new audience and those looking for gifts can probably buy them for very reasonable prices. There is an argument that many people would appreciate receiving a unique and one-of-a-kind item rather than one that has been mass produced.
